#Permethrin – Permethrin is an insecticide in the pyrethroid family.
Pyrethroids are synthetic chemicals that act like natural extracts from the
chrysanthemum flower. Permethrin is used to treat scabies (‘mites that
attach themselves to the skin) in adults and children 2 months of age and
older.
#Cetrimide – Cetrimide is an antiseptic agent, meaning it has various
antibacterial, antifungal and other antimicrobial properties and can be
applied to skin or mucous membranes to avoid or minimize the risk of infec
tion. It is also a surfactant, meaning it functions as a detergent with cleaning
properties.
#Benzyl benzoate – Benzyl benzoate is used to treat lice and scabies infesta
tions. This medicine is believed to be absorbed by the lice and mites and to
destroy them by acting on their nervous system.
#Light Liquid Paraffin and White Soft Paraffin – Light Liquid Paraffin and White
Soft Paraffin exert an emollient effect by forming an occlusive film that reduc
es trans-epidermal water loss, thus helping to maintain normal skin humidity
levels.
#Chlorocresol – Chlorocresol has disinfectant, antiseptic and bactericidal
properties. It kills bacteria, and prevents microbial growth.

#Neem Oil – As an insecticide Neem kills small soft-bodied insects like
Aphids, Mealybugs, Mites, Thrips and Whiteflies on contact.
#Stearic Acid – Stearic acid is generally considered beneficial for the skin,
especially for dry skin, due to its moisturizing and protective properties. It acts
as an emollient, helping to soften and smooth the skin.
#Vitamin E – Vitamin E is an antioxidant. Antioxidants might protect cells from
the effects of free radicals, which are molecules made when the body breaks
down food or is in contact with tobacco smoke or radiation.
# Glycerin – Glycerin is generally considered good for skin. It’s a humectant,
meaning it attracts moisture from the air and deeper layers of the skin to the
surface, helping to hydrate and moisturize. Glycerin is also known to help with
wound healing, reducing inflammation, and improving the skin’s barrier
function.
#Aloe Vera – Aloe vera is a medicinal plant with antioxidant and antibacterial
properties. Aloe vera benefits can include reducing dental plaque, accelerat
ing wound healing, improving skin barrier function

Usual Adult Dose for Scabies :
Apply the lotion to the whole body from the neck down,
rubbing lightly into the skin until the lotion disappears. It is
important to include all skin surfaces, such as between the
fingers and toes, under the nails and on the soles of the feet.
Leave the lotion on for at least 8 hours, before washing off.
Reapply to any area that may be washed during the 8hr
treatment time (such as after washing the hands). If neces
sary, Perbella Lotion should be used again after 7 days as
per the advice of the doctor.
Usual Pediatric Dose for Scabies :
Infants: Thoroughly massage along the hairline, neck,
temple, and forehead. The Lotion should be removed by
washing after 8 to 14 hours.
Why is this medication prescribed?
Perbella Lotion is used to treat scabies (‘mites that attach themselves to the skin) in adults and children 2 months of age and older. Over-the-counter permethrin is used to treat lice (small insects that attach themselves to the skin on the head) in adults and children 2 months of age and older. Permethrin is in a class of medications called scabicides and pediculicides. It works by killing lice and mites.
How should this medicine be used?
Perbella Lotion comes as a Lotion to apply to the skin. Over-the-counter permethrin comes as a lotion to apply to the scalp and hair. Perbella Lotion is usually applied to the skin in one treatment, but occasionally a second treatment is necessary. Perbella Lotion is usually applied to the skin in one or two treatments, but occasionally three treatments are necessary. If live mites are seen two weeks (14 days) after the first treatment with permethrin cream, then a second treatment should be applied. If live lice are seen one week after the first treatment with over-the-counter permethrin lotion, then a second treatment should be applied. Follow the directions on your prescription label or the package label carefully, and ask your doctor or pharmacist to explain any part you do not understand. Use permethrin exactly as directed. Do not use more or less of it or use it more often than prescribed by your doctor.
Perbella Lotion should only be used on the skin or hair and scalp. Avoid getting Perbella Lotion in your eyes, nose, ears, mouth, or vagina. Do not use Perbella Lotion on your eyebrows or eyelashes.
If Perbella Lotion gets in your eyes, flush them with water right away. If your eyes are still irritated after flushing with water, call your doctor or get medical help right away.
To use Perbella Lotion, follow these steps:
- Apply a thin layer of creamPerbella Lotion all over your skin from your neck down to your toes (including the soles of your feet). Be careful to apply Perbella Lotion in all skins folds, such as between your toes and fingers or around your waist or buttocks.
- For treatment of babies or adults over 65 years of age, the Perbella Lotion should also be applied to the scalp or hairline, temples, and forehead.
- You may need to use all of the Perbella Lotion in the bottle to cover your body.
- Leave the lotion on your skin for 8-14 hours.
- After 8-14 hours have passed, wash off the cream by bathing or showering with Perbella Bar
- Your skin may be itchy after treatment with Perbella Lotion. This does not mean your treatment did not work. If you see live mites 14 days or more after treatment, then you will need to repeat the treatment process.

After using Perbella Lotion, sanitize all the clothing, underwear, pajamas, hats, sheets, pillowcases, and towels you have used recently. These items should be washed in very hot water or dry-cleaned. You should also wash combs, brushes, hairs clips and other personal care items in hot water.
